I remember as a child visiting my Grandmother Sadie and my Aunt Phyllis at there home on Lake Winnisquam, N.H. and Aunt Phyllis would always make this Coffee Cake. I loved the way it made her kitchen smell on a cool summer night.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts; set aside. In a separate bowl, cream together oleo (shortening), sugar, eggs, and sour cream; set aside. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Blend well. Pour 1/2 batter into greased tube pan. Sprinkle 3/4 brown sugar mixture over this then add rest of batter and top with remaining brown sugar mix.
