Here are a couple of recipes that might be what Betty Lee from Cincinnati is looking for. The first one is plain and simple to make, but very, very good.
Peach Kuchen
1 box yellow cake mix 1/4 cup butter 2 large cans peaches, drained 2 cups sour cream 2 eggs cinnamon
Mix cake mix and butter with pastry cutter. Press into a greased 9x13 pan. Layer peaches. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix sour cream and eggs. Spread over peach mixture. Bake at 350' about 40 to 50 minutes till sour cream mixture is set.
This next one is a little more complex, but also wonderful!
Peach Kuchen
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a deep-dish 9" pie pan.
Mix together: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/8 teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, on medium to high speed, beat until light and fluffy: 1 stick softened, unsalted butter 3/4 cup sugar
Beat in 2 large eggs, one at a time until blended. Stir in the flour mixture just until blended. Pour batter into pan and spread evenly.
On top of all, layer 2 cups sliced, peeled peaches (you CAN just use 2 cups sliced canned peaches here)
Mix together: 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 tablespoon cinnamon
Sprinkle mix over fruit.
Bake in oven (place cake pan on a sheet of aluminum foil to catch spillovers) until golden brown, 40-45 minutes. Let cool before serving. Enjoy, Rebecca Terrill, Zephyrhills, FL
