Roseville Pottery Donatello Bowl Vase

Roseville Pottery's 7 1/2'' Round Fluted Bowl or Vase in their Donatello pattern, designed by Frederick Rhead, circa 1915. Cherubs encircle these pieces of green and beige/brown. Unmarked, as most of these pieces were. Some did have the Rv ink stamp or paper label. Measures 7 1/2'' in diameter and 3 1/4'' tall. There is some discoloration, light crazing on the interior and tiny nicks on the inner rim. There is a visible hairline on the rim which is stable--you cannot feel any roughness or separation. Almost all authentic Roseville Pottery has some defects because of the sheer age of the pieces. However, the price has been reduced. This old pottery is remarkable in design and durability with a charm impossible to achieve with today's mass produced ware.

Roseville Pottery Large Clematis Console Bowl Vase

Very Large Double Handled Console Bowl Vase in Roseville Pottery's ''Clematis'' pattern. Please look at all the pictures. While my less than reliable eyesight sees this piece as blue, my son says it is green. The most accurate colors are shown in the pictures of the bottom. There is a blending and shading of the background color which results in an almost teal blue color with green undertones. It is marked with the raised Roseville USA 461-14'' and the letter R in black grease pencil. Roseville introduced Clematis in 1944 and this gorgeous piece of pottery is one of the largest pieces I've seen. It measures almost 18'' from handle to handle, 8'' front to back and 4 1/8'' tall. They also made a smaller size handled bowl is seems more common. There is faint age darkness and crazing noticeable on the bottom and a couple of darker blue spots on the inside bottom which may be original but are probably discoloration from use. I have not attempted to clean up the bottom, but it should clean up nicely if you wish. It is in very good condition with no chips, hairlines or repairs. This remarkable Roseville Console Bowl is gorgeous.

Porcelain and Pottery - Roseville: Roseville Planter, Rozane
Roseville Planter, Rozane, Planter

Pottery A lovely planter in the Rozane line produced by the Roseville Pottery Co. in the 1900-1918 era. This planter is unmarked but there is no doubt as to its origins. The Rozane line is quite distinctive. Measures 7.5 in. diameter at the top and is 3.25 in. tall. Many of these items in this time period carried just a paper sticker for identification and of course most stickers were lost over time. This planter does have some flaking to the glaze on the top rim. I find no cracks, or other damage. A beautiful piece to add to your collection.
