Porcelain and Pottery - Roseville:
Roseville Pottery Clematis Wall Pocket - Blue

This is a wonderful example of Roseville Pottery. Introduced during the 1940's, the Clematis pattern features broad blossoms and a trailing ivy vine on a textured background. This particular wall pocket is blue with a white flower with yellow center and green leaves. It has the normal spots of tan/brown along the ridges of the flower, rim and handles that give it an even more textured look - like the pottery is showing through the glaze - nice!It measures 8 1/2" long and 5 3/4" from handle to handle. Condition is excellent with no cracks or chips. There is some light crazing and a small blob of extra pottery way down inside the vase. I see no evidence of use nor any water stains. There are a few normal pinprick pops. It is appropriately marked with raised letters "Roseville USA 1295-8".

It is about 4" tall and 5" across the mouth, widest measurement across the middle is about 6". Porcelain and Pottery:
Bassett's Roseville Prices 3rd Edition by: Mark Bassett

Book Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. Over 130 ceramic lines from the Roseville Pottery Company are listed and valued in this very inclusive guide. Arranged in alphabetical order, each line and its most common variations are listed and priced by line number. Among the categories featured are Early Velmoss, experimental pieces, Keynote, Lamps, Raymor Modern Artware, Rozane Royal, trial glaze pieces, and products not found in Roseville guides. This quick reference works well as a companion to the author's Introducing Roseville Pottery. Listings for shapes illustrated in that book appear in boldface here, with page references. An invaluable 'Index to Roseville Shape Numbers, c. 1916-1946,' produced with the assistance of collector and researcher Lou Haggis, explains the factory's original shape numbering system. This will help collectors identify and date little-known Roseville shapes. Everyone interested in art pottery, American artware, or Ohio pottery will find this an essential reference.

Porcelain and Pottery-Roseville: Rozane
Roseville Rozane Bowl

Offered is a Roseville Rozane bowl. The diameter of the bowl measures 6 3/4 inches to the outer part and 5 inches on the inside. The bowl is 3 inches tall. The bowl has crazing and ring marks on the inside of the bowl. The bottom of the bowl on the outside has 2 either bruises or kiln pulls which do not go in to the inside bottom of the bowl. One bruise/kiln pull measures 1 inch by 1/2 inch; the other measures 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch. There is also a line on the rim of the bowl which I believe is factory because glaze goes over the line. I can feel the line on the deep inside. There is some minor peppering which are factory imperfections mostly around the yellow flowers. Shipping with insurance and handling is $12.00 in the Continental USA.

ROSEVILLE - TUSCANY - CANDLEHOLDERS - PAIR - GRAY

Tuscany by Roseville Pottery Co.Pattern: TuscanyColor: GrayCirca: 1927Shape: No. 1067-4 Candleholders (2)Dimensions: 4 1/8" high Marked: No. Condition: Both of these have paint discoloration around the neck and handles. The handles are definitely in perfect shape. We were unable to find any sign of a break or crack at the neck, we can only guess at the reason for the odd color. If they have been repaired, the mend was done masterfully, the paint job less so. It could just have been a sloppy job at the factory, but...?? Other than indicated these are without damage. These are hard to find and would still make an outstanding addition to your collection.Any questions? Do not hesitate to contact us.

Roseville Creamware Planter

This is a cute little creamware planter from the early 1900's. The piece measures 3 1/4 inches high and 4 inches across the top. Originally this piece was an advertising piece for a Wisconsin company but the gold lettering is so worn I can't make out the name. Two sides are decorated with the green decal of the head of Mercury? The gold trim decoration is very worn and there are 3 chips along the rim of the pot. There is no mark on the base of the flower pot and the piece does have crazing. This would still make a good flower pot for a Roseville collector.
