Art Pottery:
Roseville Rozane Royal Vase - circa 1904

Fabulous piece of hard to find Rozane Light, also called Rozane Royal and Royal Lights. This new line of art ware was introduced by the Roseville Pottery Company, of Roseville, Ohio, in 1904. The "lights" shades were the pastel version of the darker Rozane line. The designs were executed by artists who did underglaze slip painting (decoration). This vase measures just over 8 3/4" tall, and has very delicate flowers and leaves - perhaps a Dogwood? The main body in done in shades of gray and ivory. The bottom has an impressed mark which looks to be the number "7". There is one flaw on the backside, looks to be factory - shallow, and measures 1/4" x 1/8". There's a small area of underglaze (factory) impurities - that look like tiny bumps - in the bottom section of the ivory glaze. Displays beautifully - a great addition to an art pottery collection. Key Words: American art pottery ceramics arts & crafts movement

Pottery & Stoneware:
Roseville Pottery Peony Pedestal Jardiniere

Offered is a large Roseville Pottery Pedestal. It's in the Peony pattern. Initially, I thought I had the Jardiniere to this Pedestal but later realized I sold it a couple of years ago, probably thinking I would never find the Pedestal. Low and behold I found the Pedestal but now to my disappointment I do not have the Jardiniere. Anyhow, Pedestal measures about 20 1/2" in height, 9" completely across the top and 13" across the bottom. U.S.A. marking is at the top. Lovely floral design on each side. Overall condition I would consider excellent. After going over it pretty thoroughly I noticed about a 3" faint hairline on the underside. It continues to go over the edge and the goes about 2" from base edge going up. It's more noticeable on the underside and very hard to notice on the top. May not even bother you but only mentioned for completeness in description. There is no chips or cracks and noticed very, very little crazing if any. One of nicest Pedestal's that I've ever seen. Great for anyone who has the Jardiniere and any collector of Roseville Pottery. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance.

Huge Ransbottom Jardinaire

For sale is a gorgeous large Robinson Ransbottom jardinaire. I also have the pedestal for sale separately. RRP is no longer in business. Magnificent jard made by the RRP Roseville Pottery Co., made from an old Weller Pottery mold; the book specifies this. RRP bought out Weller when it went out of business in the 1940's. The jard and ped are in good condition, just some minor crazing on interior of jard, and two clay separation/shrinkage lines near bottom of pedestal which happens during firing at the factory. The jard is 12.5 wide x 11 high; the pedestal stands 21 tall; and when jard is on top of pedestal, it is 31.5 high altogether. The jard has incised mark: RRP Co., Roseville, Ohio #421, just like the book indicates! Great indoors or out! Tip: secure jard onto the pedestal with floral goop or double sided tape, that way it won't tip over if you accidentaly bump it. PS: If this were marked 'Weller' instead of 'RRP', the price would be about $1200-1800. Shipping via parcel post insured due to weight & size. Do not select priority mail on this item unless you contact me first. USA destinations only. dd-au-1/4-cc-V

Planters - Vases: Vase
Art Deco Pedestal Cone Vase

This is a great vase shaped like an inverted cone sitting on a tiered pedestal. It is covered in a high gloss glaze with a very simplistic oval design on the front and back. One side has a very small speck in the glaze. It is reminiscent of something from the Roseville Futura collection but I haven’t been able to find out who really made this vase. It measures 7 1/8 inches tall by 3 ½ inches at the opening. Except for the flaw that I listed earlier, it is in mint condition.
