Arts & Crafts : Pottery Antique Art Pottery Vase For sale is an antique matte green art pottery vase. This vase is a deeper, darker green than the pictures are showing it. It has embossed tulips? and stems. Faint incised number #205 on bottom. Four tiny feet and 3 stilt marks. It has some very minor flaws: a small depression in the clay on rim edge, (no change in glaze or texture); one teensy rim nick; a tiny dot on a bottom foot that is either a fleabite or a glaze pop. Interior is quite worn and has a dark spot on interior bottom, and there are some lead lines which is common. None of the minor flaws amount to much, I just mention them so you know it is not perfect. I believe this is an early Roseville Pottery item circa 1915-1920, but could possibly be another company. It is 6.5 wide x 3.25 tall. It is perfect for your Mission/Arts & Crafts style room! 3/08ro#

Robinson Ransbottom Pottery aka RRP Roseville: Robinson Ransbottom Pedestal For sale is the matching pedestal to the huge jardinaire that is for sale separately. Magnificent pedestal made by the RRP Roseville Pottery Co., made from an old Weller Pottery mold; the book specifies this. RRP bought out Weller when it went out of business in the 1940's. The pedestal has two clay separation/shrinkage lines near bottom of pedestal which happens during firing at the factory. It stands 21 tall; and when jard is on top of pedestal, it is 31.5 high altogether. Great indoors or out! Tip: secure jard onto the pedestal with floral goop or double sided tape, that way it won't tip over if you accidentaly bump it. PS: If this were marked 'Weller' instead of 'RRP', the price would be about $1200-1800. Shipping via parcel post insured due to weight & size. Porcelain and Pottery: Pottery, Modern Wares 1920-1960 by: Leslie Pina Book Collector Bookstore is a retailer of new books located in Leavenworth, Kansas. We specialize in price guides and reference books for the antiques and collectibles industry. This handsome new book explores production pottery, the factory-made and hand-decorated wares produced by selected American and European companies that are of special interest to collectors. Familiar firms such as Cowan, Susie Cooper, Clarice Cliff and Roseville Futura made this modern pottery, as did old favorites such as Homer Laughlin's Fiesta, Russel Wright's American Modern, and firms with lesser-known names. Museums are already exhibiting these attractive, useful wares yet they can still be found at sales. 581 color photographs of the wares, details and maker's marks together with essays on the companies and designers, plus a bibliography, index and price guide make this book a necessary new reference for pottery collectors, historians and dealers. Includes Cowan, Ohio, Roseville Futura, Weller, Encaustic, Rookwood, Laughlin, Fiesta, Glidden, Brastoff, California, Carlton, Wilton, Wedwood, Wm, Adams, Burgess, Leigh, Doulton, Cooper, Cliff, Ridgway, Longwy, Czech, and more!

Miscellaneous American Potteries: Morton Morton Pottery Handled Vase with Embossed Floral Sprig This handled vase was produced by Morton Potteries circa 1940 – 1960s. The basic coloring of the vase is a very light green and it has a wonderful embossed pink mauve floral sprig that looks like they could be roses. The lower half has a nice texture to it that reminds us of grass. It is approximately 5.37 inches tall and in good condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. On the handle that we show in the picture is a repair that was made by the manufacturer and then glazed and fired, so the handle is solid. For some unknown reason there are a few dark specks of glaze on the inside of this piece. This line of pottery from Morton Potteries over the years has been referred as to Poor Man’s Roseville since the styling and coloring is slightly similar to Roseville.

Yellowware: Old Yellowware Rockingham Pottery Pig Bank Old Yellowware Pottery Pig Bank decorated with sponged Rockingham glaze. Lisa McAllister shows this style pig bank in her book of Yellow Ware (bv 175-275). They are also pictured in reference guides of Brush-McCoy and Roseville Pottery, etc., so several eastern Ohio potteries made them. This little guy is marked USA. He measures 5 1/2'' long and 2 7/8'' tall. There is some age related crazing present. One of the craze lines is a little darker on the top running from the slot--but it is crazing as there is no break in the glaze. There is old glue residue from felt on the bottoms of the feet and a dark spot on one foot also from the glue. We have not tried to clean it, but it should come off. This little yellowware pig no chips or cracks.

Stoneware & Saltglaze: Pottery Large Vintage Stone Acid Pitcher stoneware For sale is a large vintage 'stone acid pitcher'. Heavy duty OLD stoneware pitcher.
