TIP: Marcel Boucher was born in France and trained as an apprentice to Cartier. He came to the US in the 1920's and designed jewelry in the 1930's for Mazer Brothers. In 1937, he founded Marcel Boucher and Cie Company in New York. Boucher produced the most exquisite costume jewelry, unsurpassed by any other, until it became a subsidiary of Dovorn Industries, a watch manufacturing company, around 1972.
